I am drawn to duality. I love orange only because it brings the pop to the calm hues of green and blue. It makes a statement — like the rest of me.
I'm a motion designer and storyteller who leads with feeling first and figures out the why second. The people closest to me know me for the faces I make — the kind that are impossible to hide. I've cried at old advertisements. Not because I'm dramatic, but because someone made something that actually landed, and I felt it. That's the standard I hold my own work to.
There's a very childish part of me that shows up constantly, because I've learned that nothing comes from sitting in remorse. A lot more comes from consciously choosing joy. It's a lot like opposites attract — and I keep finding ways to show that tension in my work too. The delicate and the high-stakes. The playful and the precise. The thinking and the making.
When I'm not creating, you'll find me rewatching sitcoms, journaling, or getting lost in a book with a very sugary cup of chai.
